FAQs

We have put together a list of our most asked questions below, however, if you have any other questions please get in touch with us by emailing team@linksgymnastics.com.

What do I need to bring to my class?

All of our activities are provided within the class but we do recommend bringing a refillable water bottle.

What should I wear?

As gymnastics is a very active sport you will need to be able to move freely, therefore either a leotard (can be worn with legging or shorts) or shorts/leggings and a t-shirt. Socks are not permitted unless there is a medical need for them. However, if you do want to cover your feet then you are able to purchase gym shoes which provide grip for the equipment. Please do not wear hoodies.

What else do I need to know?

If you have long hair this needs to be tied back away from your face. No jewellery is to be worn, this includes watches and Fitbits. Please see our policy on jewellery to find out more.

What happens during the class?

The class is made up of a warm-up and stretch at the beginning to get the gymnasts ready for the apparatus. Once warmed and stretched the gymnasts are separated into groups and move around the apparatus with a coach. Once they have completed their rotations on the apparatus the sessions is finished with shaping and a cool down.

What happens before and after the class?

We ask gymnasts to wait quietly outside before their class, a coach will come and collect them and line them up ready to come and be registered. After they have finished their class we line the gymnasts up ready to hand them back to parents/guardians. You do not need to stay during the class but please do check that we have up to date contact and emergency contact information for you.
